Senior Power BI Consultant - Retail

Infosys is hiring for the role of Senior Power BI Consultant on our Analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for solving business problem for our Retail/CPG clients through data driven insights. Your role will combine a blend of Retail/CPG domain, Analytical experience, Client interfacing skills, and solution design and business acumen so your insights not only enlighten the clients but also pave the way for launching deeper into future analysis. You will advise clients and internal teams through short burst high-impact engagements on identifying business problem, solving business problem through suitable approaches and techniques pertaining to learning and technology. You will effectively communicate data-derived insights to non-technical audiences appropriately and mentor junior or aspiring consultant/data scientists.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• This position is located on site in Providence, RI. Candidate must be located within commuting distance to this location or be willing to relocate.
• 50% travel might be required.

• Strong experience in data modeling (fact and dimension relationship) and preparing dashboards/reports to present insights to executive level stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong experience interpreting data and presenting business analysis to stakeholders.
• Worked on solving Retail/CPG business problems likes – sales forecasting, inventory optimization, route optimization, Campaign analytics, Market Basket analysis, Loyalty analytics, Pricing and Promotion analytics, customer segmentation
• Fluent in using one or more of analytical tools –R, SAS, Matlab, Python or equivalent statistical analysis software

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or MS from prestigious University in area of quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering or Physics
• At least 6 years of experience with CPG / Retail / logistic / supply chain domain consulting/Business Intelligence/analytics.
• 6+ years applied experience in exploratory data analysis, devising, deploying and servicing statistical models

The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
