What is the job role?

This is a newly developed post within the All Age Disability Service, the role will:.

  • Play a key part in ensuring a high standard of social care service, exemplar social work practice within the team and advocate for strength-based practice approaches.
  • To hold a small complex caseload, taking responsibility and working autonomously, whilst supporting colleagues with their development and practice.
  • To lead on practice development, and quality assurance
  • To provide professional supervision to your supervisee group.
  • To form part of the management team within the All Age Disability Team, and contribute to the ongoing development of this service.

The All Age Disability Team, work with adults, with a range of disabilities and or complex health needs. Our focus is on maintaining independence and using a strengths based model to enable people living in Coventry to maximise their outcomes.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced practitioner who has a passion for continued professional development. The role will involve you supporting the team to continue in its development, and support the promotion of strengths based practice.
The ideal candidate would be confident in using current research to inform practice, and have a good understanding of relevant legislation. We are seeking a practitioner to support AYSE’s in their continued professional development.
The ideal candidate would be able to carry out quality assurance activity to identify areas of strength and development.
We are seeing someone who is creative, and can develop learning opportunities for the team, and motivate the team to engage in these opportunities.
