    The purpose of the Senior Pricing Advisor role is to Execute business modelling for pricing initiatives in SME Packages, Commercial Motor, Commercial Strata, and consulting projects. This crucial role also involves proposing, developing, and actioning pricing insights to enable SME Packages, Commercial Motor and Commercial Strata products to achieve financial targets.
    This would encompass assisting team performance to maximise effectiveness in a dynamic environment; gain customer insight to support the team in delivering exceptional customer service; collaborating with other teams and external consultants; remove blockages to performance; escalate issues; and look for ways to simplify processes.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the General Insurance industry
  • Leadership - Proven ability to lead and engage a team to achieve individual, team and divisional goals. Preferably 1-3 years of experience leading people
  • Strong knowledge of GI products and pricing of key business drivers
  • Strong knowledge of business modelling – GLMs, GBMs and other machine learning techniques
  • Advanced analytical skills - ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause[1]effect relationships
  • Requires knowledge and experience in using SAS, Excel, R and other programming skillsets. Knowledge of end-to-end processes is advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Develop pricing recommendations and proposals designed to closely align pricing strategy to each of the brand’s budgets and implement price changes timely and accurately within the business/function.
  • Execute commercial data capability by maintaining existing Commercial pricing infrastructure as well as supporting the build of modelling ready datasets
  • Lead pricing and senior pricing analysts to model products and covers within SME/CI Motor/CI Strata as other members focus on BAU deliverables
  • Lead pricing initiatives to explore, develop both internal and external data/modelling capabilities
  • Product pricing review across covers in SME/CI Motor/CI Strata
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Consumer Pricing Managers to deliver business objectives.
