Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This will be a commercially focused role assisting with the development of business cases for new and existing projects, issuing pricing and assisting in tender responses for all client opportunities nationally. You will be a member of the finance team, working closely with the Pricing and Evaluation Manager and key members of the Business development team and Operations across the business nationally in order to add value from a commercial perspective. You will need to be a team player with strong project management capabilities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in the preparation of pricing models for various projects, including but not limited to preparation and analysis of revenue, operating costs, capital expenditure, NPV and IRR;
  • Responsible for gathering all pricing inputs in accordance with the bid timeline from each department of Civeo, including but not limited to Business Development, Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement and IT;
  • Working in conjunction with the Pricing and Evaluation Manager, Business Development Team and Operations, maintenance of a standardised pricing model for use in CIS and COV tenders;
  • Preparation of client commercial pricing schedules for inclusion in bids participated in by CIS or COV;
  • Evaluating costs to assist the Pricing and Evaluation Manager and Business Development teams to develop pricing strategies, including ensuring integrity and accuracy of costs used in any bid model;
  • Ensure any pricing actions enhance business profitability;
  • Involvement in the commercial aspects of a tender, including but not limited to preparation of financial models for business case input, and involvement in presentation of financials to senior Civeo Management;
  • Understanding of contract negotiations and bids as well as proposal development;
  • Conduct market research, track market trends and monitor industry development; and
  • Respond to ad-hoc tasks for strategy or commercial projects.
  • Take part in Project Working Groups as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a commercial analysis role
  • Exposure to the hospitality, property or resources industry preferred
  • Prior pricing, business case development or quantity surveying experience
  • Strong Excel modelling and business casing skills
  • An ability to create and analyse commercial scenario’s and provide recommendations
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, economics or accounting
