We have a brand-new opportunity for a Senior/Principal Building Physics Engineer to join our MEP division based in our new central London office.
Its an exciting time to be joining our MEP team! We have a proven track record working within London and are involved in a variety of healthcare, defence, and data centre projects, with plans to grow the team extensively over the next 12 months. This is the perfect opportunity to learn from the best and progress quickly.

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

A passion for building physics, innovative and low/zero carbon solutions is paramount, in addition to understanding the ever-evolving technologies and design innovations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Energy modelling and building simulation, including HVAC system modelling.
  • CFD simulations
  • Daylight simulations
  • Applying your detailed knowledge of HVAC components, controls and how systems are operated.
  • Completing projects for Part L compliance, CIBSE TM59/52, London planning, EPCs, CIBSE TM54, CIBSE TM63.
  • Modelling and calibrating existing buildings and building portfolios.
  • Early design modelling looking at parametric optimisations.
  • Liaising with the design team, statutory authorities, and contractors.
  • Marking, business development, mentoring junior members of the team and supporting with the management of projects.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:

  • Degree or equivalent within mechanical engineering or building services engineering.
  • Proven track record working within building physics, specifically working within energy modelling, and building simulation.
  • Comfortable using building simulation software such as IES/TAS/Design Builder/EnergyPlus, including detailed HVAC system modelling.
  • Detailed knowledge of HVAC components, controls and how systems are operated.
  • Strong communication skills, and confident liaising with design teams, clients and key stake holders.
