As a result of this growing workflow, Stantec are actively seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Business in the North Region in Newcastle. You will grow our reputation within the local community and Water Business, by providing mechanical design services for a range of projects.

The team currently provide technical design services and expertise as part of integrated project teams for Northumbrian Water, Scottish Water, United UtilitiesandYorkshire Water.
The successful candidate will be involved in the whole project life cycle from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support including site surveys and investigations. In line with our Communities of Practice approach, there are opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects including in water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure and environmental sectors.
As an experienced Mechanical Engineer, you will hold responsibility for working and liaising with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community.
Stantec provide a number of opportunities to learn and develop from colleagues across the whole UK and Ireland business. As a Mechanical Engineer you will help develop the team by acting as a mentor or guide to less experienced members within the team.
