Description:

Are you a highly motivated and experienced Upstream Process Scientist? And would you like to play a key role in providing scientific leadership to support both clinical and commercial cell culture programs? Then this position could be relevant for you.
The position as a senior/principal Scientist in the Upstream Process Science team offers a unique opportunity to influence the team and company.
Your New Role
You will join our highly dedicated team in a project-driven organization working cross functionally with colleagues from multiple other departments to ensure a smooth introduction of new programs into our large-scale manufacturing facilities.
You will be engaged with customers from around the world partnering on the successful tech transfer of their cell culture processes. You will provide scientific support in various projects and ongoing programs.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Taking the lead on tech transfer (TT) activities for new programs.
  • You will be the subject matter expert (SME) on projects and programs and have the direct interface with customers and internal cross functional teams on the technical aspects.
  • Interpretation of manufacturing data and/or laboratory data to make customer updates, and to monitor process performance to aid in root cause investigation and/or process impact assessments etc.
  • Mentor and share your expertise within the team to consistently develop and improve ways of working to foster an efficient and innovative culture.
  • Collaborating closely with our Upstream Manufacturing Department to support running campaigns.
  • Writing documentation for internal and external use, such as manufacturing campaign summary reports, PPQ protocols/reports, and impact assessments.

Your Skills, Talent & Knowledge

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree with + 10 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Strong scientific knowledge within mammalian cell culture processing, associated analyses, tech transfers and process scaling.
  • Experience in leading TT projects in a cross-functional environment both internally and externally.
  • Able to handle several projects at a time, prioritize tasks and work with tight deadlines.
  • Insight in trends, guidelines, and innovation within cell culture processing.
  • Knowledge and experience with GMP production
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Your New Team
The Upstream Process Science team, which consist of 18 dedicated and enthusiastic professionals, acts as leads in process technology transfers, are the Subject Matter Experts for running processes, responsible for scale up/scale down of processes as well as other projects.
