  Our client are a leading Engineering solutions company specialising in project management, construction, and commissioning across Ireland and the USA, who partner to numerous blue-chip companies across multiple sects, including semiconduct, automotive, MedTech, and Data Centre.

As an Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in suppting a high-profile medical device client in Limerick. Your duties will include:

• Developing machine design control systems, encompassing servo motion and high-speed device integration.
• Designing, testing, and installing PLC and control software within a highly automated, high-volume 24/7 validated production environment.
• Generating User, Functional, and Detailed Design Specifications.
• Crafting high-quality PLC and HMI code from Functional and Detailed Design Specifications.Collab
• ating within cross-functional multidisciplinary teams.Providing technical suppt and making inf
• med decisions on hardware and architecture selection.
• Leading the Automation team to deliver robust technical solutions within project timelines.Contributing ideas and solutions f
• the enhancement and development of control systems.Perf
• ming fault-finding on complex automation equipment.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of code to Medical Device standards.
• Promoting a strong cultural Credo-based code of conduct.
• Ensuring effective closure on Quality System documentation and NC/CAPA actions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Allen Bradley PLC, preferably Studio 5000.Proficiency in netw
• ks and equipment integration, preferably ethernet IP, Profibus, Device-net, point I/O.Familiarity with SCADA systems, preferably Fact
• ytalk, Wonderware Intouch, ArchestrA.
• Knowledge of GAMP 5 and GDP, with experience in Med device settings.
• Experience in low-voltage systems, with 24V fault-finding expertise.
• Background in machine safety is desirable.
• Experience with robot setup and integration is a plus.
