Description:
Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. is looking for a reliable, goal-driven, and positive Senior Process Engineer to join our team!
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years process engineering experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
- Familiarity with applicable codes such as API, ASME, CSA, etc.
- Registered in Alberta (APEGA)
- Must be proficient with ASPEN HYSYS and ASPEN EDR
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent management skills
Responsibilities:
- Sizing of vessels, vessel internals, TEMA type shell and tube heat exchangers, line heaters and piping.
- Sizing and selection of PSV’s
- Sizing and selection of control valves
- Assist the Instrumentation group with instrument selection and sizing of various other instruments including flow meters etc.
- Collaborate with pump vendors to select pumps and pump sealing systems
- Collaborate with burner manufacturers to select burners for line heaters
- Work with tray, packing and mesh pad vendors to select column internals
- Produce P&ID’s, PFD’s and heat and material balance documents
- Assist with the preparation of design specifications, computations, reports, and drawings
- Work closely with Project Managers and Estimators to provide a cost estimate, engineer the drawing based on customer specifications, changes to job scope and scheduling deadlines.
- Work with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained
- Ensure compliance of codes and standards in the project designs
- Develop and apply technical knowledge to identify, evaluate and implement process optimization opportunities for new equipment
- Perform detailed reviews of specifications
- Carry out shop inspections on product during production, and identify any design issues, as needed.
