Description:
Wood is currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Sarnia, ON to expand our team within the Oil & Gas Canada business. The successful candidate will be engaged in projects across several areas including oil and gas (upstream, midstream, downstream), energy transition and petrochemical industries. - Use strong technical knowledge to complete process engineering deliverables and tasks with minimal guidance and direction.
- Develop process simulations and heat and material balances.
- Conduct process equipment and line sizing and optimize process control strategy to support PFD and P&ID development.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines. Interface with Clients.
- Complete conceptual studies through to detail engineering stages within timeline and budget.
- Coordinate/Supervise a team of process engineers offering support and guidance to junior and intermediate process engineers.
- Perform checking of all process engineering deliverables in accordance with industry codes, standards and guidelines, and client specifications.
- Conduct regular reporting, scheduling, resource planning and coordination with workshare offices.
- Keep updated on technical skills and on new technologies in industry.
- Currently registered or eligible for registration with PEO.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience with the majority spent working in refining, petrochemicals or oil & gas industries.
- Must be proficient in HYSYS and/or ProMax.
- Must have client facing skills.
- Strong written and oral communication (English) skills.
- Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals.
- Must be able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
- Must be able to coordinate with team members in other workshare offices.
- PHA experience is required.
