Description:

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Degree in Plastics Engineering/Technology along with RJG Master Molder I / II (highly preferred)
  • Ten plus years’ experience in Injection Molding Processing with solid knowledge of manufacturing operations and experience in Medical (class 8 cleanroom environment) and packaging
  • Good knowledge of Injection mold tooling and design (high cavitation, full hot runner systems, tight tolerances)
  • Good knowledge of Injection Molding, Processing, Ancillary equipment and Automation systems
  • Preferably knowledge of Real time monitoring systems
  • In-depth knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE) and demonstrate use of same
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English as well as the ability to accurately document work performed
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to travel (up to 10% mostly within EU, and possibly US)
  • Able to work independently on projects while working concurrently with all departments
  • Able to identify machine requirements for any given project based on part design and mold, then quote and recommend specific IMM for purchase
  • Good communication and basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel & Power Point)

Responsibilities:

  • Support with mold design and qualification of new molds and support project feasibility and timelines
  • Lead the molding process decisions for new programs and current manufacturing lines
  • Travel to tool builders to qualify, debug and sign off on new mold builds prior to shipment
  • Perform and document D.O.E.s, establish optimal process parameters and document IQ, OQ, PQ.
  • Ensure the completion of the MAP documentation and harmonize process engineering documentation as well as monitor all existing production to ensure standard specifications are met
  • Assist manufacturing personnel with continuous improvement process and troubleshooting processing issues
  • Familiar and experienced with cavity pressure systems (RJG, Kistler, CoMo)
  • Be able to communicate and train the Set-up Technicians, for a clean handoff of the project to Production
  • Establish relationships with the customers and equipment and raw material suppliers in pursuit of continuous improvement and on-going business development
  • In conjunction with the Quality department, solves customer related issues as needed
  • Instructs others, formally or informally, regarding manufacturing related skills or knowledge and assists in the training of employees
