JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS
Our client, a top provider in the medical and public health industry is looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Advisor who will report to the Executive management. He or she will work with the Supply Chain Management team and the company’s Director of Supply Chain Management for seamless, transparent, and accountable procurement processes.
The Senior Procurement Advisor will take a leading role in executing effective and efficient procurement and supply chain services on the Global Funded project, ensuring project commodities and equipment are procured in line with the company’s procurement SOP and the Guide to Global Fund Policies on Procurement and Supply Management of Health Products, ensuring GF value for money policy.
He/she will also be responsible and accountable for the process review (checklist), documentation, and reporting of all procurement (health and non-health) on the Global Fund project.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 15 years of Procurement/Supply Chain Management experience in donor-funded projects is required; experience with Global Fund projects will be an added advantage. Familiarity with international best practices in procurement procedures, project administration, contract procedures, and project follow-up.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ability to work with minimal supervision, result-oriented, and a good team spirit to work with people with cultural and religious backgrounds, lifestyles, and sexual orientations. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including, but not limited to, word processing, excel, scheduling, and presentation applications. Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability of good relationship management/ advocacy skills. Strong supportive/mentoring and supervisory skills. A great level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
Review the selection process for suppliers, contractors, and consultants for various goods, works, and services related to the project operations. Periodically review the development and implementation of procurement rules, procedures, requirements, and global best practices. Review the procurement process. Review contract administration. Ensure cost control and management are maximal. Review and assess the preparation and implementation of procurement plans. Evaluate the procurement process to identify areas for improvement and recommend necessary changes. Stay updated with industry best practices and regulations related to procurement, project administration, contract procedures, and project follow-up.
