Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Procurement Field Representative (Level 4) to join our Everett Delivery Center (EDC) team to support 777-9 CI and deliveries in Everett, Washington.
There is a large supplier presence at the Everett site, both at the Delivery Center and Factory. The suppliers work supplier quality issues as well as provide expertise in repairs of their components due to Boeing caused damage. It is the responsibility of Field Representatives to proactively problem solve and drive overall supplier recovery to ensure delivery and quality compliance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years of experience working with suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Must have a current valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to work any shift
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years or experience in Project Planning; Scheduling; Project Management
- 3+ years of experience working in Manufacturing Operations
- 3+ years of airplane interior knowledge
- 3+ years of experience with the Boeing production system
- Ability to access and interpret Boeing airplane drawings, procedures, and processes
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns.
- Co-facilitate with the supplier and procurement agent the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements.
- Identify needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance.
- Monitor suppliers’ performance-to-plan and provide status back to supervisor and procurement agent.
- Identify and communicate opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and report back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent.
- Assess supplier resource plan and reports results to supervisor/procurement agent.
- Support supplier work movements to ensure seamless execution.
