EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
Within this role you will be involved in
Manage the Procurement function with the CWMF and OGP framework
Public Procurement experience or a related qualification in the area.
Key strategic decision making related to procurement
Internal client management
Manage the vendor selection process
Provide market analysis to support strategy development
Manage external supplier to ensure best practice supply
Manage negotiations with vendors/suppliers
Operational efficiencies across the supply chain function
Identify areas from improvement across the function.
Manage the supply chain risk and improve sustainability across the function
Manage framework agreements where required.
For this role you are required to have;
A min of 5 years procurement experience.
Experience in public procurement/CWMF is essential for this role
Experience in Engineering and Construction
Experienced working in a continuous improvement environment
A strategic thinker and experience in planning
Experience in managing teams and motivating people.
Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in the utilities sector would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
One of Ireland’s largest development bodies, based in Dublin, is currently looking to recruit a Procurement Lead with extensive experience in construction and engineering to work with their team to develop a robust strategic procurement function and to manage and operate a large expansion program they are undertaking. With numerous stakeholders, this will be a very active and energetic role for someone who is looking to work within a department that operates efficiently and effectively. You will take the lead on developing the procurement function to operate as efficiently. This is an engineering role and will be governed by public procurement policies. This client is focused multi category procurement and creating structures and programs related to their environment and the long term improvement of their facility. For this role you will have an in depth understanding on the CWMF
