Job Description
As the company’s ambitions for growth in renewable energy increases, the demand for procurement expertise continues to grow. We are thus looking to increase the size of our team with a (Senior) Procurement Manager specialized in T&I / Offshore Vessels in Offshore Wind.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a Procurement Manager in Offshore Wind, you will have a significant impact on Vattenfall realizing its transition to a more sustainable energy portfolio by securing the necessary works and services at best value for the company. You will be engaging with the Offshore Vessel supply chain to define procurement strategies as well as identify innovative market approaches to maximize the company’s profitability. You will work in an environment where you deal with executives internally and externally to drive value from Vattenfall’s’ supply chain for the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive tendering activities including, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and preparing contract award decisions for Offshore wind projects T&I scopes and ensuring best value and compliance with the Vattenfall objectives and principles.
• Close cooperation with the Category Managers to strategically support the T&I categories.
• Steer the project team through the procurement process from design of tender until contract award.
• Challenge the project team in case of perceived over- or under-specification of technical, commercial or legal requirements
• Identify new and/or implement suitable procurement approaches to deliver Lowest Energy Cost, ensuring alignment with the defined Category Strategy. Support development of the Offshore T&I Category Strategies.
• Lead activities to negotiate and improve contract standards.
• Engage with the supply chain to ensure deep understanding of relevant parts of the market. Share knowledge within the Offshore Procurement team and wider business as appropriate.
• Support contract management activities in alignment with operational and commercial contract managers.
• Support negotiation of large claims and variation resolutions.
• Support the development of the Offshore Wind Procurement team, taking part in improvement initiatives.
• Closely cooperate with the business stakeholders to drive the best procurement results to support the build of new wind farms.
