ABOUT THE GPO MARKETING CATEGORY

The Marketing Category Team is part of the Global Procurement Organization and provides excellent business partnering to our internal and external stakeholders. The category is responsible for the definition and execution of global sourcing strategies in close collaboration with business owners, legal, controlling, as well as for sourcing and supplier management across the globe. The GPO Marketing Category is responsible for the procurement of Advertising & Brand, Paid Media, Direct & Digital Marketing, Events, Market Research, Merchandise, Public Relations and Sponsorships.
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Procurement Specialist to support the specific Marketing areas.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • University degree preferably in Business Administration or a related field
  • Ideally dedicated experience in Marketing Procurement, including a solid understanding of the end-to-end operational processes on Marketing-side.
  • Understanding of end-to-end procurement and sourcing strategies
  • Open-minded and willing to drive change
  • Knowledge of purchasing systems (e.g. SAP Ariba and/or SAP Fieldglass), MS office applications and purchasing processes
  • Ability to work with in an international teams and in a virtual environment
  • Solid stakeholder management
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills, strategic thinking

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Spent at least 3+ years in a Marketing environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in progressive procurement and category management experience within a multinational business would be preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and to crystalize business requirements and to translate them into actionable procurement activity
  • Ability to establish clear priorities and effectively manage multiple demand and time resources
  • Experience working in a fast-paced complex environment, ideally from a digital service background

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is continuously transforming, to keep up with the fast-changing environment (new technologies with rapid innovation cycles, rising stakeholder expectations and regulations). GPO develops into an agile & strategic procurement organization and strives for an optimal collaboration and partnership with all relevant stakeholders as part of the entire ecosystem.
SAP’s strategy to help every business run as an intelligent enterprise, and SAP’s ambitious growth plan have a huge impact on GPO as SAP Board expectations towards a world-class procurement organization are increasing continuously.
In this regard, SAP´s Global Procurement Organization is looking for encouraged new team members to support its transformation.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Act as consultant and trusted business value enabler for key stakeholders
  • Understand SAP’s current and future requirements
  • Conduct all RFIs and RFPs in the relevant marketing areas
  • Lead all contracting and compliance activities, including licensing if applicable
  • Perform market analyses, benchmarking and explore market capabilities to gain market intelligence
  • Research and recommend new Suppliers related to the relevant areas.
  • Supplier management including supplier performance
