What we are looking for:
Council is looking for a Senior Producer, Festivals and Major Events within the Arts and Culture Department who will be responsible for planning and delivering successful Council-run festivals, major events, and supporting other events/activations that position Frankston as an arts, culture, and event destination. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Elevating existing events, with a creative mindset and positive attitude.
- Exploring new opportunities including event partnerships to elevate the existing suite of events.
- Implementing new processes and systems, with a focus on continuous improvement and finding efficiencies.
- Contribute to delivering actions contained in the Destination Events Strategy, and proactively shape the success of events in Frankston.
This role is a temporary contract (parental leave) which includes out of hours work, including weekends in the delivery of Council-run events.
About you:
- Degree or Diploma qualification in Event management or a related field and/or substantial years of relevant experience in Event management, project management, and related risk and contractor management.
- Current Victorian Driver’s licence.
- You thrive in a creative space, enjoy problem solving and decision making, demonstrate initiative, and have exceptional time management skills
- You enjoy a fast-paced environment and contributing to all facets of event planning and delivery including the demands required on event days.
