Overview:
Our fast-growing team is looking for a Sr. Product Manager who will have an enormous opportunity to reimagine the applicant screening and hiring experience, and impact the global product definition, design, and go-to-market for mission critical initiatives for HireRight. You will drive product strategy by expanding our product capabilities, launching new product services, and driving increases in retention, revenue, and customer delight. You will also build, lead, and manage a team of Product Owners/Managers as well as influence cross-functional teams including UX Designers and Researchers, Engineering and QA, Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and executive leaders. This is an exciting and high-visibility role for a strategic, technical, and creative individual to define the future of hiring and the applicant journey leveraging innovative technology across SaaS, blockchain, mobile, and AI/ML. Responsibilities:

  • Own and build great experiences that help applicants share their background and qualifications with employers, prepare them to take on new jobs, and become an integral part of their career journey
  • Understand the “why” behind everything we do and instill that understanding across your partner teams
  • Translate complexity into clarity, taking user and business needs, and translating those into product vision, strategy, and requirements
  • Drive entire product lifecycle from ideation through development, launch, and go-to-market activities
  • Practice data-informed decision-making and demonstrate deep understanding of critical business drivers and KPIs to help achieve product/market fit
  • Build, lead, and manage a team of product owners/managers
  • Partner with user experience (UX) and product design team to conduct user research, design sprints, prototyping, usability testing, interviews, focus groups, surveys, and data analysis
  • Collaborate with go-to-market teams on product positioning, pricing, and merchandising
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize features and create actionable requirements
  • Assess new market opportunities, identify hypotheses, develop business cases and share recommended next steps across the end-to-end product experience to senior leadership for budgeting, resource alignment, and prioritization.
  • Establish a feedback loop with customers, users, and partners to understand their pain points and identify new products and services that meet their needs and exceed their expectations
  • Serve as a communication hub and collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment across the HireRight ecosystem

Qualifications:

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We are looking for candidates who possess a strong track record of product management experience in both services and user experience, with deep customer empathy, technical background, strong execution capability, and a history of building collaborative partnerships and delivering high impact business results. This includes:

  • 6+ years of experience defining, building, and launching successful B2C or B2B SaaS, mobile, and/or blockchain based products, with a focus on large distributed and cross-functional teams
  • Customer-centric with deep empathy and understanding for users
  • Experience building 0 to 1 products – from ideation through launch and go-to-market activities and ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous environments
  • Demonstrable technical depth in SaaS/mobile/blockchain platform development; conversant in core engineering concepts for software delivery, operational excellence, architecture, and design discussions
  • Expertise overseeing product strategy, roadmap, and requirements definition
  • Exceptional business acumen, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Passion for delivering great user experience (UX) and product design to help drive user engagement and customer satisfaction
  • Highly “intrapreneurial” spirit with strong ability to juggle between strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities, and ability to lead as a “player/coach”
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, a related field, and/or equivalent work experience; Master’s degree in Science or Business (MBA) is a plus
