Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a experienced Sr Product Manager on our North America Consumer team.
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining, positioning, pricing, and the promotion of male grooming products along with managing the market adoption and product life cycles. This position is “the voice of the customer” and “owns” the product ultimately responsible for its overall success.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Product Management in the CPG industry
  • Strong research capabilities and able to analyze POS data (Nielson, IRI, and NPD)
  • Microsoft office skills with strong emphasis on Excel and Power Point
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to influence
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to model the Company’s values which includes respect for every individual, integrity, innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Male Grooming business and strategy for North America Consumer Division to ensure growth in sales, market share, and profit while stretching with integrity.
  • Manage the product life cycle management from NPD through obsolescence.
  • Leads product development and leads a cross function team to insure timely introduction of high-quality products.
  • Has deep understanding of the Consumer through various forms of research, such as ethnographic/psychographic research, online surveys, observational research, interviews, focus groups, product testing groups, etc. Must understand how to conduct the research, analyze results and create actionable outcomes.
  • Understand the market beyond the consumer - both retail customers and competitors to better position products to achieve success in the environment in which they are sold.
  • Can work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment. Meets aggressive deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Has a leadership role in directing North America marketing activities for the specified product categories. Fully assists in the development of product packaging as well as advertising and merchandising needs both digital and traditional.
  • Helps with initial and long-term forecasts.
  • Communicates cross-functionally with many departments and subsidiaries. External contacts are vendors, research organizations, advertising agencies, design firms, sales representatives, and customers.
