    About the Role
    The Senior Product Owner acts as the voice of the customer and is responsible for setting, prioritising, and accepting user stories to deliver the most value of the product. As Senior Product Owner, you will be required to work with the technical team to identify user needs, and expected system behaviours, help the technical team identify and validate technical solutions and work with cross-functional teams.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Understanding and experience in one or more of the following system technologies: Guidewire, Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce), Digital, and/or document management
  • Understanding of data, analytics and reporting and what constitutes good practice in a claims environment
  • Has technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience, integration and dependencies
  • A broad range of experience in leading design initiatives & process improvements with a specific focus on customer experience
  • Experience in Workers Compensation and insurance claims or an ability to develop a strong understanding of business context
  • Experience in balancing commercial objectives with regulatory requirements
  • Agile experience in the role of product owner, embracing the agile mindset
  • Previous experience within one or more of the following: Product Ownership, Service design, CX design or Business Analysis
  • Highly developed strategic, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

DUTIES

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Senior Product Owner you will:

  • Bridge the gap between the customer, the business and technical teams focusing on the delivery of tangible product features to meet the needs of customers and the business and address problem statements
  • Works closely with the Data and Analytics teams to ensure the customer problem is solved.
  • Articulate the user stories and acceptance criteria (with support from SMEs and BAs where needed)
  • Co-facilitate sprint reviews/showcases with Scrum master
  • Key contact point for business and technology regarding systems queries and expected behavior for technologies within scope of Senior Product Owner role
  • Provide business context, vision and articulate the business value to technology teams working with Personal Injury claims
  • Work with PVT and performance testing resources to ensure business requirements and expectations are met prior to endorsement of system release
  • Conduct and manage relevant workshops, including proposing agendas, conducting research interviews and create discussion guides
  • Escalate any risks or issues to Claims Platform Business Lead
