The Senior Designer’s role is to craft excellent creative work across projects of all scales of complexity, being fully accountable for the final client output. This is a role that is obsessive with craft and storytelling and an understanding that great work comes to life in the details.
You have a sensitivity to tone that gives you the ability to express different ways of seeing, and navigate the subtle qualities required to craft distinct visual worlds. The aesthetics you create express a unique vision that translates a strategic positioning or story. Day to day you manage time and communicate well, and work both autonomously and with the support of a team, reporting into the Creative Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Build design systems that translates strategic brand narrative and aesthetic into a relevant, authentic, and stand-out creative.
- Research and explore a variety of directions to help develop Umbra’s brand identity systems that are mindful of a multidisciplinary approach: Design, Strategy, Copywriting, Digital, Photography, Illustration, Motion, etc.
- Research across a range of inspirations from the world of design, art, fashion, architecture, and the everyday to allow the unexpected to happen, and thoughtful solutions to arise.
- Contribute to, organize, build, and participate in brand workshops, competitive analysis audits with applied strategic thinking and point of view.
- Lead clear, detailed & inspiring briefs for various vendors as required across photography, stylists, casting, etc. for approval.
- Support project briefs with spec creation and production, pushing the quality of the output.
- Collaborate with Creative Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Director to develop appropriate creative strategy
