Position Overview:
The Senior Programmer Analyst II follows the programming development life cycle, including analysis, design, development, and implementation of Symitar software programs and Crystal Reporting. Develops complex power-ons in Symitar that are used by other developers. Lead, plans, organizes, controls, and reports on multiple complex projects in the accomplishment of stated business objectives. Manages the back-office administration for the core operating platform. This role works closely with other power-on developers, the project and team leads and key vendors to resolve any technical deficiencies, assist with integration needs, implement, and test new functionality and generally ensure that Frontier CU can deliver a quality banking experience. This position will work with our core operating platform vendor along with other vendors the credit union has integrations with to provide a simple, easy to use experience for our employees and members. Also leads efforts in solving complex core solutions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bend, sit, or stand to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion. Operate routine office equipment including computer terminals, keyboards, telephones, copiers, and calculators. Work on computer for up to 8 hours per day. Some locations may require ability to climb or descend stairs with minimal assistance in emergency situations

Responsibilities:
- Utilizes Symitar’s built-in programming tools (e.g., RepGen, SymForm, SymConnect, etc.) to conduct a full range of programming tasks, including program design, program coding and debugging.
- Develop unique power-on and programs used by other developers.
- Lead complex programming tasks and project.
- Designs, creates, and tests SQL databases primarily for use of reporting.
- Provides adhoc and scheduled reporting to end users through Crystal Reports, SQL and Symitar Repgen.
- Participates in systems software development and maintenance.
- Develops project scope, business requirements, functional specifications, user acceptance tests, implementation plans and user documentation, as required.
- Ensures that the departments’ workflow and deadlines are being met, maintains productivity levels as established by department standards.
- Assists internal team members and functional areas with problem resolution of software operations issues as they relate to Symitar and other Credit Union software.
- Ensures full compliance with Frontier CU policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Provides exceptional internal and external member service.
- Understands, applies, and complies with all Credit Union Policies and Procedures, State and Federal laws and regulations, and adheres to requirements set forth by the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
