ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

  • Support the development of plans, procedures, and processes for cost control.
  • Lead the implementation of plans, procedures, and processes for cost control in projects.
  • Lead the development and implementation of systems and tools for cost control.
  • Support the development of cost estimates, ensuring alignment with cost control requirements.
  • Develop the Project Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) aligned with the Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Setup, populate and maintain the different CBS elements in the Company’s ERP/cost control system: IFS
  • Establish the project budget based on the cost estimate information, setting up the project cost baseline.
  • Coordinate cost information for all phases and levels in the project
  • Perform periodic cost control of the projects, including VoWD and Earned Value methodologies, comparing the current status with the cost baseline and updating the project cost forecast.
  • Liaise with the project team members and make sure that all involved roles are aware of the criticality of the delivery with respect to cost forecast.
  • Liaise with the project planner to ensure alignment of project cost and schedule information and to jointly develop the project cash flow curve.
  • Liaise with project cost estimator and project planner for the determination of the contingency release strategy.
  • Ensure that codes for timekeeping are available in the project man-hour system and assist the project organization in timekeeping.
  • Support the implementation of cost requirements in tenders processes
  • Monitor cost requirements for project POs and subcontracts
  • Provide cost input to Management of Change activities
  • Provide cost input to VOR preparations
  • Establish a new project cost baseline if required.
  • Prepare routines for effective communication between all relevant project group participants across all internal and external interfaces.
  • Prepare periodic cost reports and input to project monthly report
  • Support Business controller with the preparation of invoices and revenues reports.
  • Support Business controller with the financial closure of projects
  • Support to Risk Management activities and Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA).
  • Contribute to experience transfer and lessons learned activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master or Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the wind industry or the oil and gas industry.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in VoWD and Earned Value methodologies
  • Familiarity with industry best practices: AACEi, PMI
  • Knowledge of related project controls functions including planning & scheduling, cost estimating, change control, document control and reporting.
  • Proficient in IFS
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Packages
  • Proficient in English, both orally and written.
  • Good communication and cooperation skills
  • Structured and systematic approach

  • Able to work on a number of complex tasks at the same time
  • Proactive, solution and goal orientated.
  • Multidiscipline mindset and good understanding of interface management
