Description:

Essential skills / experience

  • Technical Analysis including Project Management skills
  • Capable to carry out report reviews and writing
  • Capability to learn with a reasonable level of Computer literacy including, software proficiency (Xcel, Word, Microsoft Project packages)

Desirable skills / experience

  • Willing to learn and work with the MRWA system of project management (BEARS, EPM etc.), procedures and software skillset support.
  • Good attitude as a team player with a high level of autonom

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The role with provide Project Management support for the development of Traffic, Road Safety, Cycling, Bridge and Bus Priority projects. Support will be provided to familiarise applicants with project details, procedures and specific project background.
Tasks Include the following project development requirements;

Project Development

  • Develop project scopes, designs, budget, relevant clearances, stakeholder acceptance, schedule and risk to identify appropriate treatment measures and achieve set objectives.
  • Negotiate and recommend agreements detailing financial and other commitments by participating parties.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance and improvement of project management processes and systems.

Project Delivery

  • Manage and report on the development of projects to ensure completion to approved scope, budget, time and quality.

Technical Support

  • Commission and manage consultants for the provision of specialist technical services, including monitoring and review of performance.
  • Review and/or arrange the review of design briefs, documents and designs.

Leadership and Management

  • Manage financial, technological, physical and other resources within agreed allocations to meet agreed outcomes.
  • Manage employee behaviour, performance and development.

Stakeholder Relationships

  • Undertake engagement, consultation, liaison and negotiation with stakeholders (e.g. customers, the community, other agencies and Local Government, contractors, consultants).
