Job Description Summary
To work as part of the Wireless Project Delivery Team that is responsible for the Site Acquisition, Environment, Design, Construction, Technical Installation and Integration of Mobile Base Stations. The role may require to you to work as part of the SAED and/ or Site Works teams across a single or multiple clients.

The role will require you to effectively manage and co-ordinate all project related activities to ensure business and project objectives are met by:

  • Ensuring all tasks relating to the project activities are in compliance with legislative requirements including OH&S, environmental and regulatory.
  • Successfully adhering to project time frames and ensuring costs are kept within budget constraints.
  • Exceeding customer expectations with project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to CPT Team leader for assignment of tasks
  • Financial responsibility for the initial site level P&L for each job
  • Establish Scope of Work (SOW) for each site and align with contractor on Method of Procedure (MOP) to carry out the scope
  • Obtain quotes from contractor in support of and aligned to the SOW, ensuring value for money and alignment to our budget
  • Submit Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to client with associates cost claim and obtain agreement in the form of Purchase Order (PO) from the client
  • Once PO received, issue work order to contractor
  • Provide hand over to construction team
  • Attend design reviews and provide advice relating to cost estimates, constructability, temporary works designs, safety, site access and associated issues.
  • Provide Cost Estimates for Permitted Exclusions at phase 1 & phase 2 in support of the SAED team
  • Attend regular scheduling, contractor and program level meetings and advise on progress, status and forecasts for work schedules
  • Update key milestones related to your tasks
  • Analyse variance, trends, risks and opportunities, key business drivers and sensitivities, highlighting significant operational performance issues to management
  • Weekly, fortnightly and monthly report input as required
  • Assisting project/contract staff where required to ensure they have implemented and are maintaining appropriate cost control measures, contractual notices, claim procedures and tools to manage all contractual provisions.
  • Be involved with pricing variations, both site level and program level, if and when required
  • Assist the project with pricing due to change management

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Design and Construction environment
  • Proven experience with managing external field teams
  • Advanced knowledge of general Microsoft Applications
  • High level numerical analysis skills and the ability to provide clear conclusions and recommendations on complex issues
  • Knowledge of planning, property and leasing matters within a telecommunications environment
  • Knowledge in transmission network design, including, fibre, microwave radio, routers and relevant mobile base station equipment;
  • High level communication skills
  • Experience in the transmission network including, fibre, microwave radio, routers and relevant mobile base station equipment is desirable
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Building or equivalent advantageous
