Description:

SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (RIVERSIDE, CA)

Doka USA Ltd. is seeking multiple Senior Project Engineers (Riverside, CA) to utilize Tipos Software and DokaCad to determine and plan technical solutions for projects utilizing Doka formwork systems. Support sales by determining appropriate formwork solutions that meet the customer’s needs. Work with sales to produce AutoCAD drawings during the proposal stage, finalize working drawings for Doka USA forming systems, and provide material lists for quotations and shipments to the site. Provide guidance to customers regarding forming solutions, service job sites, and respond to questions concerning equipment usage. Produce and ensure that the drawings indicate the proper use of Doka USA forming equipment and that the drawings represent safe, economical, and efficient designs. Ensure the policies, procedures, programs, standards of performance and compliance are adhered to, and monitor conformance with contractual guidelines. Directly supervise 3 direct reports holding the titles of Sr. Formwork Designer, Formwork Designer, and Project Engineer. Local telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week. 10% domestic travel required.
SALARY RANGE: $74,000 to $81,000 per year.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction or a related field and 2 years of experience in concrete formwork and shoring systems. Must have experience with: solving design and field problems on short notice with minimal information; troubleshooting formwork and shoring solutions for customer projects; performing related design calculations and analyses; preparing formwork and shoring drawings; preparing calculation packages for professional engineers, local building authorities or 3rd party reviewers; preparing estimates and concept drawings at pre-bid and awarded contract stages; reading and understanding structural and architectural blueprints; conducting job-site visits and meetings with customer to ensure proper use of formwork and shoring systems in the Field; scheduling projects to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects concurrently; supporting customer’s training for new/established formwork systems; checking drawings and bills of material for local Engineering team prior to release to the customer; applying construction engineering know-how and on-the-job techniques with regard to formwork and shoring applications on a wide variety of projects including: civil, infrastructure, residential, commercial, tunnel and bridges and high-rise structures; formwork (ACI-347R, ACI-318, AASHTO, IBC 2017, AISC-15, ASCE 7-16, OSHA) industry standards and regulations; formwork, shoring, lumber, steel, and custom steel design for extraordinary formwork applications; AutoCAD software; project cost and materials management and estimating tools; project management software; and computer applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 10% travel domestic required.
