THE ROLE
Our project team is expanding! Newly created role for a Senior Project Engineer to be based onsite at our Civil Earthworks project.
Senior Project Engineer to join us for new contracts in the Pilbara & Goldfields-Esperance Regions. SRG have established a mine site based bulk earthworks and civils team since late 2023 and continue to win ongoing works that include:
- Clearing, Grubbing and Topsoil Strip;
- Excavate, load, haul and stockpile material to create large drainage channels and roads;
- Place and compact materials to create diversion bunds, haul roads, LV roads and culverts;
- Crush and screen various classes of rock armour, load and haul upto 15km and place and compact;
- Construct gravel roads including placement of gravel pavements, drainage, road signage and white lining on sealed section.
FIFO out of Perth on a 2:1 roster.
This role reports to the Project Manager and will work closely with Supervisors on-site ensuring prompt project delivery.
In addition to working with a great team, the successful applicant will receive ongoing project exposure allowing you to further develop your technical and project management skills. There will be an opportunity for a strong performer to progress their career and move into a Project Manager position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Day to day project management of works including all necessary works co-ordination and scheduling, resource allocation, direct supervision and inspections.
- Tracking of daily productions and costs and working closely with Site Supervisors.
- Prepare & complete technical deliverables including project management plans, construction schedule & QAQC documentation (ITPs, field inspections, MDR etc)
- Supplier and sub-contract procurement and management.
- Contract management including identifying & claim variations, extensions of time and other contractual entitlements.
- Financial management including budget preparation, job-costing, preparing & monitoring cost to complete, profit forecasting etc.
- Implementation and reporting against KPI’s and other contract / company deliverables.
- HSE management from project kick off deliverables preparation (management plans, CRAW etc) to incident response including investigation.
- Client liaison & negotiations.
