Responsibilities:
We need to look forwards to what needs replacing and upgrading in the future.
We need someone who can lead project engineering and ask the right questions of the modellers, operations teams, and asset management team to take up these modelling projects and come through with a pragmatic capital programme of what needs work where across the region.
Using the councils project management framework, we want you to lead and manage works from concept through to fully engineered solutions that ensures we are building sustainable assets. While the assets are simple, the complexity comes from stakeholder management and providing clear concise answers to sometimes difficult conflicting priorities.
- Lead the design, engineering, tendering & construction, of pump stations, stop banks, generator replacements, and floodgates just to name a few.
- Work with iwi, territorial authorities, local landowners, and internal stakeholders to support the delivery of sustainable infrastructure options, which meet our environmental aspirations.
- Provide engineering knowledge to our asset management & operations team, as well as the community. We work together to develop cost effective solutions to H&S, environmental, and performance issues.
