We are looking for someone to assist with managing a suite of Retirement projects on the Woodside program, which includes a number of projects ranging from retiring a whole LNG train to retirement of large systems / equipment across the Karratha Gas Plant. The scopes commence in the scoping boundaries/requirements and go through to site execution and close-out”
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordination of project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by Worley. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. Bridges the technical gap between the Project Manager and Engineers. Often functions as assistant project manager with an engineering background. Ascertains that engineering work is done according to plan by helping with design interpretation. Reviews bill of materials/project schedules/forecasts for accuracy. This role would apply to those with an engineering background.

Responsibilities:

We’re looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Perth team.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Ensures Worley methodologies, processes, tools and systems are used throughout the project and compliance requirements are met/satisfied.
  • Applies knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, procurement, quality control, etc.) to oversee the successful execution of the project plan.
  • Ensures design team is aware and complying with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and understanding of EPC project delivery workflow and coordination.
  • Basic exposure and understanding of procurement/subcontracting and on-site construction support.
  • Applies in‐depth knowledge of customer contract to the oversight and management of the project.
  • Strong understanding and application of business drivers, financial reporting standards.
  • Project design deliverables and design quantities are tracked and reviewed.
  • Understands project cost buildup including gross margin and tracks cost and schedule and uses analytical skill to forecast trends.
  • Ensures proper change control processes are understood and used by the project team.
  • Translates contract requirements for project scope into Worley scope of services and deliverables.
  • Ensures project schedules and resource plans are developed and utilized in managing the project tasks.
  • Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress and develops action plans to address project tasks and issues.
  • Experienced in successful multi-office workshare execution.
  • Effectively communicates and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting proposals and reports to staff and management and clearly communicates project requirements, deliverables and expectations with the project team.
  • Identifies and understands the customer’s key drivers (KPIs).
  • Manages customer representatives (established relationship) and other significant stakeholders. Nurtures customer and stakeholder relationship based on established expectation and communication protocols and develops a relationship of trust and respect with ability to discuss project progress, challenges and issues in a transparent manner.
  • Identifies potential risks or new risks as the project progresses and effectively develops risk mitigation, contingency and resolution plans and also keeps detailed project risk register that stays current and is tracked & communicated on a regular basis (at least monthly).
