Job Description

AECOM IS ACTIVELY SEEKING A TALENTED AND EXPERIENCED SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER TO OVERSEE FEDERAL ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION PROJECTS. THE CANDIDATE MAY WORK REMOTELY.

Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management
  • Manages and directs professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects
  • Leads teams by utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices
  • Utilizes existing technologies and past experience to develop technical solutions to complex problems
  • Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance
  • Analyzes financial statements and completes budget tracking
  • Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area manager
  • Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies
  • Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team
  • Supervises junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project work
  • Conducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvement

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with +6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional License (PE, PG)
  • Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related degree
  • Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations
  • Experience successfully managing environmental projects for Federal clients (USACE, AFCEC, Navy)
  • Thorough working knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills
  • Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery
  • Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences
  • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders
  • Interest in business development
  • Have led teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies in support of Federal environmental projects
  • Occasional overnight travel required

    Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $120K to $140K. Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States and compensation data will vary in each location, including higher or lower than the stated range
