Description:

Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. is looking for a reliable, goal-driven, and positive Senior Project Manager to join our team!

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years’ experience in project management within the manufacturing or fabrication industry as a Project Manager, Lead Project Manager, or Senior Project Manager. Experience in a related field such as Engineering and/or Manufacturing Management will be also considered.
  • Post-secondary education and/or registration as a P. Eng or Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred
  • Extensive experience with large, complex projects and clients
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of project management processes, workflows, and terminology
  • Progressive experience in managing all aspects of complex projects
  • Ability to research, understand, and apply the concepts and best practices of the Oil & Gas and Manufacturing industry
  • Experience in negotiating with clients to resolve and/or initiate contracts that can impact a project
  • Strong documenting practices such as consistent record keeping, traceability of information, organization, reporting, and closing the loop
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees and external contacts by building trust, credibility, and rapport
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and independently with limited supervision to fulfill deadlines with a high level of responsibility and accountability for each project
  • In-depth understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
  • Extensive knowledge in instrumentation and controls, as well as process systems and fluid dynamics
  • Extensive knowledge of project management software (Microsoft Project)

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manages large and complex projects to achieve client satisfaction, quality deliverables, schedule, and budgeting objectives
  • Review and provide direction on project files, and become familiar with the original estimate, plans and specifications
  • Lead the planning and implementation of a project through to completion
  • Coordinate interdepartmental information flow, design and engineering process and materials procurement
  • Plan, schedule, and report on progress of the project to applicable internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage project budget, milestones, and scope of work
  • Manage all change orders, processing and assessing cost and schedule impacts
  • Utilize tools to track procured material, drawing status, document status, and critical tasks.
  • Ensure a positive client experience through professional service and engagement.
  • Manage and document all commercial aspects of the project including change management.
  • Uphold company project standards and processes
  • Oversee all facets of project close-out
  • Providing mentorship to less experienced Project Managers and Project Technicians
  • Seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction and develop lasting relationships with clients
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs, evaluates alternative solutions, and delivers value added services
  • Remains engaged and knowledgeable regarding emerging industry practices
