Job title: Senior Project Manager – Electrical Engineering
Location: Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland (Hybrid)
As a Senior Project Manager – Electrical Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful integration of our Renewable Generation projects (Solar PV, Onshore Wind & Battery Storage) into the grid infrastructure in Finland. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the grid connection process, from initial planning to final commissioning. Your expertise and knowledge in electrical engineering and grid regulations will be critical in securing and optimizing grid connections for our projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in grid connection management or a related role, preferably within the Renewable Energy industry.
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and grid infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of grid regulations, standards, and compliance requirements in Sweden.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively engage with external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical problems and optimize grid connection designs.
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools and platforms used in grid connection planning and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Fluency in English and Finnish, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough analysis and assessment of the grid infrastructure and electrical systems to identify viable grid connection points for our projects.
  • Engage in negotiations and coordinate with relevant grid operators, utilities, and regulatory authorities to secure grid connection agreements and permits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and designers, to ensure grid connection requirements are met and integrated into project plans.
  • Develop and manage project schedules and budgets related to grid connection activities.
  • Oversee the design and engineering of grid connection infrastructure, ensuring compliance with local regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate and facilitate grid connection works, including equipment installation, commissioning, and testing.
  • Monitor and assess grid connection performance and address any issues or challenges that may arise.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in grid regulations, policies, and standards, and provide recommendations for their implementation in project designs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including grid operators, utilities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the grid connection process.
