Role purpose
Reporting to the Executive Project Director, with a direct reporting line to the Director, Technical, ICT and FM once appointed, the Senior Project Manager: Engineering will support the new Parkville Precinct Redevelopment (PPR) Project infrastructure development with design and technical expertise. This role will also support the integration of project requirements including; engineering, cost, constructability and land planning and environment.
The role will imbed in a multi-disciplinary team, focussed on high performance, accountability and project excellence. There will be multiple points of interface across government divisions and with the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) and the Women’s Hospital operators requiring excellent communications and stakeholder relations and the ability to influence and align key stakeholder positions.

The Senior Project Manager: Engineering would confidently represent the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) negotiating with contractors as well as resolving complex issues through a process of consultation and negotiation with key stakeholders.
The Senior Project Manager: Engineering will be a focused and capable professional who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of public health infrastructure and working within a high-performing project team to drive successful outcomes. You will operate in a fast paced, performance focused workplace where you will need to operate with a level of autonomy. They will be able to plan and manage the technical elements of Parkville project which will include managing client relationships, consultant and contractor procurement, project budget and delivery, project cashflow and forecasting, monitoring and performance reporting.

Led by the Director-General, VIDA is comprised of the four project offices – Victorian Health Building Authority, Major Road Projects Victoria, Level Crossing Removal Project and the Metro Tunnel Project
