YOUR NEW ROLE

My client operates a significant system that facilitates planning and building applications through UPD processes. This system serves several essential functions:

• Correspondence Management: It generates, tracks, and stores communications related to these applications and inquiries.
• Data Export and Reporting: The system exports data and generates reports on the compliance of corporate targets and KPIs.
• Multi-Team Support: It caters to various teams within the organisation, including primary application managers and internal referral teams.

With approximately 300 users, this system plays a crucial role in streamlining processes and ensuring effective communication and compliance across different teams.

The senior management has identify a number of improvements urgently required to improve the system processes. For example:

• The creation of new business rules incorporating Sea Level Rise and Climate Change GIS information to identify applications requiring further assessment and allow application triage and automation.
• Creation of approved conditions in the Condition Master for planning other application types to standardise the company responses and allow for the creation of “standard: or “base” condition sets to speed document creation times and reduce the risk of setting unlawful conditions.
