Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Project Manager will lead and manage a critical project on behalf of this complex program. The Program sits within Reform and Support Services (RSS) within this branch. The Program’s priorities include:

  • Drive the development and adoption of improved digital solutions and optimise the experience of everyone who interacts with the department.
  • Deliver several distinct but interrelated programs of work, inclusive of new case management systems, online portals, electronic document and evidence handling, information sharing and data analytics.
  • Ensure projects deliver a managed transition to front-line and operational support teams so that impacts to service delivery and other BAU activities are minimised.
  • Participate in project boards and committees ensuring transparent and evidence-based decision making.
  • Monitor emerging trends, identifying long-term opportunities and aligning solutions to strategic priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with stakeholders and key subject matter experts to ensure deliverables meet stakeholder needs and are delivered on-time and on budget.
  • Managing the budget and plan for the project
  • Developing and maintain project management products
  • Establishing and maintaining trusted relationships with stakeholders, peers and program members;
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout the life cycle; and
  • Managing governance oversight, including assurance, risk management, mitigation and reporting for this project.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers while managing contracts in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Ensure strategic linkages and alignment with several related programs and projects of work.
  • Project manage a team driving the replacement of a business-critical case management system/
