Description:

Senior Project Manager – Bundaberg
IPA are looking for a Senior Project Manager to deliver multiple civil infrastructure projects through the provision of technical expertise, project management experience and the administration of contracts to the design, construction and maintenance processes associated with project delivery.

The responsibilities:

  • Project manage multiple road infrastructure projects.
  • Use technical knowledge, expertise and leadership to co-ordinate successful delivery of projects.
  • Prepare and manage tenders and estimates to support the business unit in achieving its organisational goals.
  • Ensure all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements and operational system procedures are adhered to.
  • Plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of project staff that would promote effective teamwork and foster a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
  • Identify and engage the necessary internal and external expertise to deliver project requirements, including the selection, engagement and procurement of contractors and suppliers.
  • Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to transport infrastructure delivery activities.Mandatory requirements:
  • A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for permanent appointment to the position.
  • The employee may be required to mentor and supervise the work of non RPEQs.
  • Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland “C” class driver’s license or equivalent.
  • You may be required to travel to other locations to undertake activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.Desirable requirements:
  • A Diploma in Project Management.
  • Previous experience in an engineering field.
