- A background as a mechanical engineer, mechanical supervisor, or related technical field.
- A proven track record in mechanical engineering or project management, preferably in automation and/or mechanical design of machinery.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to manage project teams effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, showcasing excellent communication and influencing abilities.
- Proficiency in English (negotiation level).
Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
At Jorgensen Engineering, we are pioneers in delivering advanced automation solutions for EV battery systems. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead project teams of varying size, consisting of Mechanical Engineers, Automation Engineers, and Electrical Design Engineers, in the realm of EV battery systems.
Reporting to our Head of Projects your responsibilities will encompass:
Project Handover and Planning
- Receive and review project from sales/technical.
- Update project schedule and initiate logbook.
- Manage change requests effectively.
- Resource Management and Procurement
- Plan design activities and procure materials efficiently.
- Coordinate with the procurement department to acquire machinery and equipment from subcontractors.
Project Execution and Validation
- Review design concepts and clarify interfaces.
- Maintain open communication with customer, provide progress reports, and organize on-site meetings.
- Update project plans and financial status to stakeholders.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and information sharing.
- Prepare required documents and conduct thorough Safety Review and CE marking.
Testing and Closure
- Execute FAT and SAT documents early to address issues.
- Prepare packing lists, conduct FAT at JE and subcontractors’ facilities, and inspect project status.
- Conduct SAT with the customer and handle punch lists.
- Complete points on any deficiency list identified during SAT.
Documentation Management
- Document changes related to OA in meeting minutes and inform customer of any shipment/delivery changes.
- Specify documentation requirements and maintain updated motor data list, PI diagram, and main layout.
- Provide expected consumption data, perform safety reviews, and document special component specifications.
