Description:

Are you a seasoned Senior Project Manager ready to take on a challenging role with a leading organization? Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team and drive success in IT projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in assisting with creating and refining comprehensive working plans, ensuring alignment with lean agile software development principles. Your expertise will shine as you coordinate daily scrum huddles, fostering collaboration and efficiency among team members from various stakeholder groups. With a minimum of ten years’ demonstrated experience in large organizations, coupled with proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow, you’ll excel in this role. Your ability to navigate through various testing phases, including disaster recovery and performance/load testing, will be instrumental in project success. Additional qualifications such as experience in Agile projects, IT infrastructure projects, and SaaS environments will be highly valued. HYBRID: 8 days a month on-site in Ottawa
Candidates must be eligible for Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance (5+ years in Canada) *

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of ten (10) years demonstrated experience in assisting IT projects in large organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow and/or similar collaborative delivery tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with supporting teams through various types of testing including, disaster recovery, performance/load, functional and full regression.

The following will also be considered:

  • Demonstrated experience in Agile projects (SCRUM)
  • Demonstrated experience with IT infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated experience with delivery in SaaS environments
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps (Jenkins, GitHUB)
  • Software development background

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with creating the existing work breakdown into a comprehensive working plan
  • Coordinate daily scrum huddles encouraging lean agile software development principles.
  • Coordinate work with members of various stakeholder groups
  • Highlight and escalate issues and blockers appropriately
  • Assist with creating and maintaining a robust high-level Gantt and RAG status dashboard reporting to Senior management
  • Other activities and deliverables, as required
