Description:

Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: in office Toronto, Ontario or Oklahoma City
In Office: our management and project management positions are considered highly collaborative and we expect to be in office at minimum 4 days per week.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 5+ years of project management experience in external customer facing project delivery roles such as in consulting capacity, software deployment, or cloud based SaaS environments.
  • Must have active PMP certification or PM2 accreditation, and expertise with PMBOK.
  • Ideally, but not essential, is experience working with or consulting with public sector (government or regulatory agencies) or public sector organizations.
  • Strong internal and external relationship management skills - you can interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to hold people and teams accountable, and to deliver for our customers with high quality, on time, and in accordance with defined requirements.
  • Proven solution-orientated mindset and bias to action as a project manager as compared to ‘operational project manager’.
  • Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail – able to dig into details while maintaining the larger view of success for the client and for Thentia.
  • Strong software aptitude working with project management tools such as ClickUp, Wrike, Monday, or other robust project software.
  • You are proactive and can prioritize across multiple competing priorities.
  • You are able to motivate and coordinate the project team in a remote working model.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Program Manager the Senior Project Manager provide hands on, solution-oriented project oversight to deliver product deployments for Thentia customers. In this role you own the customer delivery a key stakeholder for their and Thentia’s success. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope with an exceptional rate of client satisfaction and meeting customer requirements. The Senior Project Manager oversees all aspects of their projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, proactively manages risks, and issues, and monitoring and summarizing progress of project. Prepares reports for both internal and external stakeholders regarding status of project. This role will work directly with key business stakeholders to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain day to day accountability and control of projects, including schedule, all deliverables, status, risks/actions/issues/decisions (RAID), client communication, and change control.
  • Prepare the internal and external management deliverables (e.g., project plan, work plan, management reviews, request for changes, outstanding issues and risks) and seek approval as required.
  • Follow established standards for resourcing, budgeting, timeline and product implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success Manager and the Account Team around client relationship management and ensure ongoing close working relationship.
  • Create Project Management Plans which include communication plan, roles and responsibilities, escalation path, etc.
  • Act as main point of contact for the client during implementation.
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Customer Support to ensure there is a smooth transition into ongoing support post-delivery.
  • Prepare for and attend client Steering Committee meetings as required.
  • Proactively identify risks and the associated mitigation/contingency plans; escalate key risks/issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the PMO team to establish best practices, process, and standards for delivery.
