ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a key role in support of a major upgrade being carried out on the university’s endpoint computing involving many thousands of laptops and desktops that are used for everything from basic office work to running multi-million pound pieces of research equipment.
Working with teams within iSolutions and dedicated resources within our faculties, you’ll be unearthing the incompatible devices across the university and delivering the roll out of replacements.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Be the workstream lead to plan and deliver the roll out of secure up to date laptops and desktops.
- Proactively, work with a wide range of the University’s community to ensure a smooth and effective programme of deployment.
- Work with dedicated and ‘borrowed’ technicians and their managers to ensure the delivery of the project has a minimal impact on BAU activities.
- Champion the project to get buy-in from reluctant stakeholders and endpoint customers.
