Senior Project Officer ACFE Secretariat Team

  • Salary: $106,534 - $128,897 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed term role: until 31 December 2024
  • Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)

The Role
The Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) Secretariat in the ACFE, Higher Education and Workforce Branch (AHEW) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Officer. The purpose of this role is to provide secretariat and support services to the ACFE Board, as part of a team. This role reports to the Manager, ACFE Secretariat. The role involves a high level of management and liaison with internal and external stakeholders pivotal to the successful outcomes of ACFE-funded initiatives.

The responsibilities of the Senior Project Officer will include, but are not limited to:

  • Create stakeholder management plans using analysis of their influence and interests
  • Develop draft policy, revise in response to feedback and progress development ready for approval
  • Clearly define roles and expectations between the supplier and the department within a contract
  • Uses appropriate purchasing processes that reflect the complexity of the procurement in accordance with departmental policy
  • Identify and utilise appropriate project planning methods
  • Formulates and communicates public policy options and recommendations

The Team
The position of Senior Project Officer forms a part of the Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) unit in the ACFE, Higher Education and Workforce Branch. The ACFE unit supports projects and initiatives that provide accessible, high quality, tailored lifelong learning opportunities for adult learners seeking to develop the skills they need for work, further study, and to participate fully in the Victorian community. This work is guided by the 2020-25 Ministerial Statement on the Future of Adult Community Education in Victoria, the annual Ministerial Statement of Expectations of the Adult, Community and Further Education Board and the ACFE Board Strategy 2020-25.
