SENIOR PROJECT PLANNER

to technology and investment projects, project planning and management in our Project Control function in Kilpilahti, Finland.

You will work part of a unique professional project team in one of the biggest Neste Investment portfolios including several challenging and special investment projects. As a core member of the project management team, you will ensure effective and profitable Project Management in all project control areas (e.g. Schedule, Cost, Change Management).

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAM

  • Lead and facilitate the planning process, compile basis of schedule, communicate the schedule status and provide the analysis to project management
  • Set up the project schedule development and control as well as progress reporting in all types of projects independently
  • Calculate the project progress, forecast the future, review the status with project management and update the schedule for future works when necessary
  • Actively engage with Project Team and relevant customer representatives as well as other stakeholders
  • Drive development of professional planning processes and practices
    The position is located in Porvoo, Finland, around 30 minutes away from Helsinki city center by car. We also arrange free bus transportation for our employees from Helsinki, Porvoo and the surrounding areas. We offer relocation assistance if needed and most of all - have a very professional, highly skilled and teamwork oriented workplace.

KEYS TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering, BBA or equivalent combination of education with several years of project management, control and planning experience
  • Strong focus on future oriented project delivery skills, developing new ways of working and driving project schedule should be at the heart
  • Ability to prepare project schedule of all levels for all phases of EPCM projects, Turnarounds and able to identify bottlenecks on the project looking at the schedule and advise the project team accordingly
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills in English (mandatory), other languages are an advantage
  • Working (strong) knowledge of scheduling tools is mandatory for this position (i.e., Primavera, MS Project, etc.)
  • Working experience on Mega EPCM projects, vendor and contractors schedule management and integration is an advantage
