SENIOR QA ENGINEERS

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior QA Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in the USA. Our client is a provider of IT advisory and consultancy services to enterprises. A software development agency offering consulting services in custom software development, DevOps, and product delivery. Their senior software consultants are experienced in Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, React, Elixir, Erlang, iOS, Android, React Native, and more. The company is 100% employee-owned (ESOP) and also 100% remote. CircleCI, New Relic, Roostify, IGS, and Manta are among their clients.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance testing.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering (e.g., QA 2+ years, Programming 1+ year(s)).
• Expertise in writing and executing test cases as part of a formal software development process.
• Strong ability to translate business and functional requirements and user stories into executable tests.
• Understanding of continuous integration, release management, and automation processes and technologies.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and business-oriented team members.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities:

• Execute testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards.
• Develop and write testing scripts and plans to ensure software functions as expected.
• Prepare data sets to test logic, error handling, and system workflows.
• Isolate, reproduce, and track defects.
• Verify fixes.
• Document testing according to required procedures.
• Work with a team of developers and product managers to help build scalable applications that standardize information flow, increase operational capacity, and manage big data.

Will be a plus:

• Knowledge of Selenium
• Applied understanding of behavior-driven development (BDD).
• Familiarity with Python.
