Description:

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Costa Rica. Our client is a young US-based QA company providing end-to-end testing services for the digital eCommerce platform. The company was founded in 2015 based on the observation that as companies strive to strengthen their digital engagement with customers, the technology systems behind those experiences are becoming more complex, fragile, and prone to failure. Strong QA is a critical enabler in the delivery of these experiences. Combining deep eCommerce experience, proven methodologies, and cloud-enabled testing automation tools, they deliver more comprehensive QA services in less time than any other service provider.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Previous experience in E-commerce testing, particularly in business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) models.
  • Proficiency in developing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases to validate end-to-end business invoicing flow.
  • Exposure to mobile app testing.
  • Familiarity with JIRA workflow.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in onsite and nearshore models to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Active participation in product feature requirements, design, and specifications discussions with product managers and developers.
  • Basic understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) or best practice metrics for delivery excellence visibility.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate and express ideas effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring the team uses industry-accepted best practices.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
  • Act as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual).

Will be a plus:

  • Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring the team uses industry-accepted best practices.
