Catalyx is seeking a Senior QC Microbiologist to join our team and work on our customer site in Cork.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control microbiology laboratory.
  • Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and methods.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines (e.g. FDA, USP, EP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE :

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology and experience in quality control.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Testing of In-process, release samples and raw materials.
  • Performing primary review of QC raw data and trend results.
  • Preparation of protocols, summaries, and reports.
  • Developing, optimizing, validating and troubleshooting analytical test methods.
  • Drafting of QC SOPs.
  • Acting as technical resource (SME) and train other analysts in areas of expertise.
  • Scheduling of testing.
  • Evaluation of results against defined acceptance criteria.
  • Conducting and documenting laboratory investigations to completion.
  • Maintaining the laboratory in an Inspection-ready state.
  • Interacting directly with regulatory agency inspectors during audits.
  • Work cross functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain Operations departments.
