Join CMC’s Stockbroking Technology Team as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual focused) and bring your passion for testing and financial markets. This permanent role will be based onsite in our Barangaroo office. Please note that this role is only open to Sydney based candidates with full working rights (Citizen/Permanent Resident).

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Test planning and design, including test data and environment requirements
  • Creating and maintaining test plans and test scripts, ensuring proper test coverage for all functional requirements
  • Preparing and managing test data
  • Executing test scripts, recording and analysing results for variance against expected outcomes
  • Logging and tracking identified defects & monitoring them through resolution
  • Analysing defects to identify what is causing them
  • Providing feedback to the development team
  • Preparing regular test status & test completion reports for progress tracking
  • Develop testing schedules to optimise the availability of testing resources
  • Perform usability testing for system performance, reliability, scalability, and security
  • Provides internal quality assurance

We look for teammates who have:

  • 5+ years experience working on med/ large IT projects (ideally within financial services) as a QA/Test Engineer (Manual testing focused).
  • Experience using Jira and Git
  • Experience with API testing
  • Testing experience in both back end C# server and UI JavaScript environments
  • Testing experience in Mobile apps eg. iOS &/or Android
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile/frequent releases environment and adapt to significant amounts of change in work assignment
  • Knowledge of primary database engines (SQL Server) with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries to be used for data validation & troubleshooting
  • High standard of attention to detail and tenacity
  • Highly analytical and a problem solver (problem ownership)
