Job Responsibilities
Oversee the company’s quality assurance processes across all sites
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, facilities, and products to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and supply chain, to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Lead investigations into product quality incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence
Monitor and analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, assess product quality to improve processes and outcomes
Develop and deliver training programs for employees on quality assurance procedures, GMPs, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other relevant topics to enhance awareness and compliance
Liaise with regulatory agencies, customers, and third-party auditors during inspections, audits, and certifications to ensure compliance and maintain positive relationships
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to food safety and quality assurance and provide recommendations for implementation
Mentor and provide guidance to junior quality assurance staff including performance management, training and development
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or food safety roles within the food manufacturing industry
Good knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., SFA, HACCP, ISO22000) and industry standards (e.g., GMPs)
Training certificates in food safety related standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO22000)
Experience in conducting quality audits, inspections, and root cause analyses, and implementing corrective and preventive actions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
