About the role
The role holder will contribute to the implementation of the Education Strategy, the quality assurance compliance of the Faculty, and some Quality Assurance-led processes at King’s Business School (KBS). This will include assistance in the operation processes across the quality assurance cycle, collecting and analysing data, creating and maintaining records’ depositories, supporting education governance and communicating with various stakeholders.
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in providing administrative support for programme monitoring activities within the Faculty, ensuring efficient coordination and execution of the related tasks. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining programme data and assessment governance records, essential for informed decision-making and strategic planning. You will play a role in supporting the Faculty’s accreditation efforts, demonstrating a commitment to upholding educational standards.
Collaborating closely with the Education Team, you will proactively engage in quality assurance processes, facilitating effective communication and implementation across the Faculty. You will also assist the Quality Assurance Manager in supporting Faculty education committees, contributing to the smooth operation of governance structures. It will be essential for you to possess a comprehensive understanding of both the Faculty’s education provision and College quality standards, allowing you to navigate and utilise relevant systems and processes effectively. Building collaborative relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders as well as fostering effective partnerships to support the Faculty’s education objectives will be essential to your success. Whenever necessary, you’ll be expected to deputise for the Quality Assurance Manager as appropriate and required. Maintaining professionalism, timeliness, tact and confidentiality in all tasks will be essential to upholding the integrity and reputation of the Faculty.
This is a full-time post (40 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. We follow hybrid working, with at least two days a week spent working in the office.
About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Educated to degree level.
2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including good interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy, and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
3. Experience of working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues, service-focused outlook with a keen interest in understanding and assisting staff at various levels and specialisations.
4. Proactive approach and ability to work on own initiative.
5. Ability to analyse and assess complex documentation and data, interest in data collection and analysis.
6. Meticulous attention to detail
7. Expertise in using MS Office software packages, databases and data management systems and strong aptitude for learning new applications.
8. Good time management including prioritisation and the ability to work to conflicting deadlines.
Desirable criteria
1. Experience of the UK Business School sector and related accreditations.
2. Awareness of current issues and discussions around the UK higher education
3. Familiarity with higher education curriculum management and student systems
4. Experience of PowerBI
