Escape Recruitment is collaborating with a distinguished company in Fife, specialising in delivering excellence across various industries. We are on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.
The main objective of the role is to ensure the delivery of top-tier products aligning with specified requirements. Reporting to the Quality & Environment Manager, you will oversee all aspects of quality and product assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough verification and validation of designs, components, materials, production processes, and test activities against customer requirements.
- Serve as the primary contact for all project-related quality matters, fostering smooth communication and resolving issues with customers and suppliers.
- Manage alerts or non-conformances to resolution, producing 8D/NC reports and accurately documenting waivers or concessions.
- Review and approve First Article Inspection reports to BS EN 9102 standards.
- Act as a deputy for the Quality & Environment Manager when necessary, demonstrating leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Support internal and external audit activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Occasionally travel to manufacturing sites and customer/supplier premises to oversee quality-related activities.
- Attend customer meetings to stay informed about project requirements and maintain strong relationships.
- Support product development from definition to delivery, establishing appropriate plans and procedures for product assurance.
- Review PA documents and provide support to the Engineering team for project risk management and product definition.
- Report progress on all product assurance activities.
