We are looking for talented and enthusiastic Quality Engineers to work on the Old Oak Common Station and support the project team, supply chain and others to manage quality assurance.
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for managing all Quality aspects of the Work Packages assigned to them, ensuring the documentation is being produced on time, non- conformances are raised in a timely manner, undertake site inspection as well as surveillances as independent party and liaising with the Client on quality issues.
What you’ll be doing
Some key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure that quality management is given the highest priority in the delivery of their works to achieve Right First Time.
- Act as main point of contact for all quality related topics within your Work Packages
- Support sub-contractor in the development of quality documentation and ensure the review of these documents.
- Check and inspect the works during progress and on completion to ensure that it has been constructed in line with the Requirements.
- Ensure Non-conformances are raised in a timely manner by the sub-contractors and managed effectively to ensure their closure within the agreed timeframe.
- Support the Quality Manager in maintaining metrics and dashboards to measure performance of Quality.
- Support the Quality Team in the d ongoing maintenance of the Quality Management System and in promoting Quality on the project.
Who we’re looking for
You will have the following:
- Practical experience in quality management within the construction industry, preferably on a project-based organization
- Ability to build strong relationships with the project team members, suppliers, client representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Technical knowledge and experience relevant to one of the following area: FRC works, structural steel, fit-out, MEPH
- Able to communicate effectively orally and written and influence others including senior management
